To help make your arrival as smooth and stress-free as possible, we recommend familiarizing yourself with both the rental unit and the Atlantic Beach area before your visit. Our goal is to ensure you're comfortable and well-prepared to enjoy all that this beautiful destination has to offer.

 

Arrival Details
Prior to your arrival, you’ll receive a personalized access code to the front door. This code will be active for the duration of your stay.

Dining & Groceries
While there are many wonderful local restaurants to try, we understand that some days, it’s hard to leave the beach! Whether you're cooking lunch or dinner, or just need to stock up on the essentials, there are plenty of grocery options nearby:

• Lowe’s Foods in Morehead City offers a large selection of ready-to-cook meals and specialty items—perfect for a well-stocked start to your stay.

• Food Lion, located on the island, is a convenient and fully stocked grocery store for beach essentials and everyday needs.

 

Shopping & Essentials
You'll find everything from bathing suits to souvenirs and beach gear at nearby shops. As you cross the Atlantic Beach bridge, you’ll see Marsh’s Surf Shop on your right. Continue to the right at the stoplight after crossing the bridge and you’ll spot several more.

We recommend taking a morning or a rainy day to explore the local shops. Visit AB Surf Shop and pick up a  Shibumishade and the Sandal Factory for beach essentials and fun. 

 

Alcohol Purchase
Please note that in North Carolina, beer and wine can be purchased at grocery stores. However, liquor is only available at ABC stores. There’s one located on the island, but holiday hours can be limited, it is closed on Sundays—so it’s a good idea to plan ahead if your stay overlaps with a holiday.

If you'd like to rent beach or watersport equipment, consider booking ahead of time:

• AB Watersports (on the island) offers rentals for jet skis, paddleboards, and more.
